The Origin of Our Vision: Haven for Divine Restoration (HFDR) began with a focus on educating and mentoring women affected by domestic violence. Over time, we recognized the importance of reaching not only women but also men, youth, and the broader community. By addressing root causes like discrimination, socioeconomic disparities, and gender inequality, our mission evolved to provide education and mentorship that bridge these gaps, fostering a more supportive and equitable society for all. HFDR was officially registered in Illinois in 2015, with the original slogan, Rebuilding Battered Lives Through Education and Mentorship. In 2022, as our focus expanded, we adopted a new slogan: Building and Empowering Lives Through Education and Mentorship.

And Restoration embodies our commitment to helping individuals return to a state of thriving. In a nutshell, Haven for Divine Restoration signifies a place where people are empowered to rebuild, renew, and realize their full potential.

Haven For Divine Restoration (HFDR)’s mission is to empower individuals through education, mentorship, and support, providing the tools they need to build stronger, more resilient lives. By bridging socioeconomic gaps within underserved communities, we help people become more competitive in school, career, and life, fostering self-reliance and growth toward a brighter future.

As part of our commitment to HFDR’s origins, a dedicated branch of our organization focuses on assisting women facing domestic violence. Through workshops and educational programs, we empower women to recognize, resist, and avoid abusive relationships, rebuild their lives, and identify early signs of abuse to prevent future cycles. Our long-term vision includes establishing temporary housing and support facilities to provide safe spaces and resources for women as they regain their self esteem, stability and independence.
