Before the COVID shutdown, Haven for Divine Restoration planned a powerful Domestic Violence Awareness Workshop at Church on Fire International, to be organized by our founder, Mimi Smith-Philemon. The event, themed “Domestic Violence: The Unspoken Cry,” aimed to shine a spotlight on the often hidden and unspoken pain of domestic abuse. Through this workshop, the silent suffering, unspoken trauma, and concealed struggles that many victims of abuse face were to be addressed. The program was to provide a safe space for attendees to learn about recognizing abuse, breaking the silence, and finding hope and support.
